Amaya Downs-Hameed is a junior Public Relations major from Pearl, Mississippi. Amaya began her involvement with Student Association her freshman year as a member of Freshmen Reach. She then went on to serve on the Programming Pod in Cabinet before being appointed the Director of Programming. Outside of Student Association, she is a New Maroon Camp Counselor and is a member of the MSU Black Voices Gospel Choir. Amaya is so excited for the opportunity to plan and execute programming events for the students of Mississippi State!
